Just not prepared...

...for how much I would love this little girl and her sweetness. Lucy is the long-prayed-for daughter of one of my college roommates and dearest friends (and her great husband) and I'm beyond thrilled for two reasons: (1) they let me take her 6mo. pictures and (2) they are moving back!! to the area so I will get to see Jillian and the whole fam SO much more. While we've had many long, wonderful talks on the phone over the past 8 years since college (when she married and moved first to Texas and then the Spokane), and over coffee when she comes to town, it just does not compare to being able to meet up here and there throughout the year. I've been told (by certain family members) that I'm mostly a 'face to face' person (though I do have 1 or 2 long-distance friends that I've retained closer to a 'day-to-day' type of friendship just because we both try and I cherish thse relationships too) and I can see that. Now that I think about it, maybe it's just a nice way of saying I don't keep in touch as well as they'd like... :) Okay, well now I'm just babbling - and exhausted! Not the best blogging combo if you're me. Have I mentioned how loved Lucy is?? Well she is.
